generations. -Role SummaryWe are seeking an experienced ECAD and
EDA Product Management Lead to oversee the applications support and
automation strategy for EDA development, focusing on Cadence OrCAD,
Cadence Allegro, and Altium Designer. The successful candidate will
play a pivotal role in enhancing the efficiency of the design
process for our team of electrical and PCB layout
engineers.ResponsibilitiesLead applications support for PCB Design
Tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence OrCAD and Cadence
AllegroEngage with hardware and software engineers, PCB designers,
and Contract Manufacturers to develop custom solutions for ECU PCBA
Design that will align requirements, communication, development,
and productionDevelop physical layout verification design rule
checker (DRC) and Layout vs Schematic (LVS) using industry-standard
EDA tools -Write and maintain scripts related to PCB design, Design
for Manufacturing (DFM), and Release. This includes, but is not
limited to, Cadence OrCAD, Cadence Allegro, and Altium
Designer.Interface with board fabrication vendors to select and use
correct impedance rules, DFM and DFT rules -Work with Signal and
Power Integrity groups to design seamless design workflows.Provide
technical leadership and guidance in the selection and
implementation of new tools and techniques.
-QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering,
Computer Science, or related field.Minimum of 10+ years of
experience in ECAD Applications Support and EDA tool development,
with a focus on Cadence Orcad, Cadence Allegro, and Altium
Designer.Proven track record in leading automation strategies in a
similar environment.Strong knowledge of PCB design processes and
challenges.Knowledge of DFM solutions.Knowledge of Signal and Power
Integrity challenges and solutions.Knowledge of implementation of
EDA solutions on Cloud.Familiarity with all phases of hardware
development including: schematic entry, component placement,
Library management, DRC/constraints manager, board layout,
Gerber-out process, QA plans, etc.Experience with maintaining,
updating, and upgrading a comprehensive Standard Components Library
for Electronics ComponentsProficiency in scripting languages
relevant to EDA tool automation.Pay DisclosureSalary Range for Palo
Alto, California Based Applicants: $184,000 - $211,000 (actual
compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and
other factors permitted by law).Salary Range for Irvine, California
Based Applicants: $168,000 - $193,000 (actual compensation will be
determined based on experience, location, and other factors
