We are currently seeking a Tax Manager, International. This
position requires an experienced professional with U.S. tax
reporting of international operations and foreign tax compliance
experience. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and

to partner with multiple stakeholders to provide timely analysis,
insightful guidance, and tax leadership to help secure the success
of the company and ensure Lucid's tax position is optimized and
that we maintain good standing across all tax jurisdictions that we

- As part of the Global Finance and Accounting teams based in
Newark, California (our Global HQ) you will support Lucid's
business leaders and stakeholders with rapid expansion within North
America and globally, day-to-day support of our domestic and
international operations, and strategic
initiatives.Responsibilities:
- Manage corporate income tax compliance for growing portfolio of
companies and work with external advisors to ensure all compliance
obligations (including transfer pricing requirements) are met on a
timely basis
- Work closely and proactively within Global Finance/Accounting,
and numerous functional teams on the preparation and/or review of
the global tax provision and relevant tax disclosures pertaining
the international aspects of Lucid's global reporting to include in
the company's statutory accounts, quarterly and annual financial
statements
- Self-starter with ability to work independently while
understanding the importance of elevating questions/concerns
promptly
- Partner closely with all internal stakeholders and operating
teams to provide clear tax and transfer pricing inputs and provide
guidance on operational decisions
- Support the commercial business and logistics function, assist
with one-off assignments and projects such as setting-up systems
and processes to meet new tax authority reporting requirements, or
act as key point of contact to the business in terms of matters
such commercial contracts and new business opportunities
- Identify tax risks and opportunities within tax and transfer
pricing area, work seamlessly and collaboratively as a tax advisor
to provide strategic and tactical advice/feedback to multiple
internal business stakeholders, and propose practical,
business-minded solutions
- Preparation and review of general ledger tax accounts and tax
expense computations that flow into the quarterly and annual tax
provision computations, as well as tax account reconciliations, and
assist with external audit of tax provisions
- Assist with the design, implementation, execution and
maintenance of tax processes and controls
- Manage tax auditsQualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; Advanced
degree in accounting and/or tax (MST, LLM) is a plus
- At least 8 years of relevant experience and minimum 3 years of
managerial experience in a Tax role with significant exposure to US
consolidated federal income tax returns, cross border transactions
and in respect of mergers and acquisitions
- "Big 4" background is highly preferred
- CPA or bar license is desirable
- Armed with a passion for tax technical knowledge, ability to
analyze and review statutes, regulations, and case law and provide
clear and concise tax advice to the wider business team and make
appropriate recommendations, including both strategic matters such
as reviewing commercial contracts and also practical matters such
as moving goods between countries, and proposed US and
international tax legislation
- Ability to handle complex accounting and tax issues/projects in
a multi-tasking environment, as well as interact and communicate
with individuals/groups at all levels within the organization, to
include supporting strategic initiatives, audit responses,
performing quantitative analysis, designing, developing, executing
process improvements, modeling for proposed transactions or
planning initiatives
- Strong tax research and planning skills
- Significant experience with TCJA US international provisions
(GILTI, FDII, BEAT and FTC)
- Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments with a high
degree of autonomy and accountability for results
- Ability to think strategically and communicate effectively with
all levels of management
- Ability to be collaborative and comfortable dealing with
ambiguity, influencing across multiple organizations, creating
effective internal business partnerships
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, including
persuasive written and oral communication skills
- Track record of managing compliance obligations for a
multinational group or across a portfolio of client companies
- Established ability using Microsoft Office suite, particularly
high proficiency with Excel, and prior systems experience
preferably with -SAP
- Excellent verbal and written English language skills
- May require up to 25% international travel
