The Senior Finance Manager is responsible for ensuring the fiscal health of commercial activities while positioning the Company for the achievement of financial targets and efficient revenue positions and has a huge impact on business performance! This position is part of the FP team and will be located in Sunnyvale, CA, or Remote working PDT hours. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Finance advisor and thought leader to Customer Care leadership and Business teams to drive improvements in the areas of revenue, new product launches, business solutions, coverage models, resource planning, labor, and materials standard costs, and overall operational efficiencies Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual Customer Care financial processes to include AOP management, monthly forecast alignment, month-end close, and bi-monthly revenue forecasting processes Communicate closely with Finance and Business leadership and present monthly Customer Care finance performance and provide insightful flux commentaries Use appropriate metrics and forward-looking modeling tools to help the Customer Care team enhance their financial and operational performance trends Apply DBS methodologies like Kaizen, daily management to identify root causes & develop mitigation plans, implement and monitor outcomes and continually strive for operational improvements The essential requirements of the job include: An undergraduate degree is required (Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related area) 9+ years of demonstrated ability in a similar role Advance proficiency in Microsoft Excel (macros, pivots, lookups), Access, SQL and/or VBA Strong systems skills with a preference toward SAP, OneStream, and/or BI Demonstrate an understanding of accounting theory and practice (e.g. basic revenue recognition rules) Highly analytical, strong attention to detail, and an ability to set and meet tight deadlines It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: MBA preferred Experience with Customer Care/Service department or division is preferred Cepheid, a Danaher company, offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs that add value to our lives.
