Job Description:

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Monitor and audit GMP/GLP compliance within production labsPerform regular inspections & audits of labs to ensure adherence to company policies, guidelines, SOPs, and Biosafety program.Report audit findings to appropriate management and follow-up on changes/fixes implementedCollaborate with the Facilities Janitorial Group to ensure adherence to cleaning standardsUpdate laboratory signage as neededMaintain stock levels and restock consumable lab supplies as neededPerform lab maintenance tasks such as replacing bleach baths and refilling PPE suppliesPerform surveillance swabbing and testing on a daily, weekly, or monthly basisTrain in using the GeneXpert systems for routine surveillance testingTrain in specific production line tasks as needed if specific process improvements are neededAudit and revise laboratory SOPs to ensure physical processes match the existing SOPsServe as point of contact with facilities to address open lab issues/ticketsMaintain monthly maintenance & cleaning of GeneXpert systems in specific labsProvide training to new associates in lab maintenance expectations at CepheidProvide support during the expansion and remodeling projects of the labsSupport production supervisors and managers with lab specific projectsBecome proficient in 5S and Standard Work lean conceptsWork with area owners to clean, reorganize production & storage areas to optimize spaceCoordinate with laboratory coat vendor to order new lab coats and maintain supply of lab coatsReview and provide feedback on process improvement proposals within manufacturing groupPresent audit findings and updates in presentation format in small and large group settingsLead facility and process improvement initiatives as assigned by managerBuild strong communication and collaboration channels with stakeholder groups and individualsSupport Safety Champions in maintaining safety within manufacturing labsSupport manufacturing associates to maintain a standard of safety and excellence within our labsWork effectively within the team through collaboration and teamwork to complete assigned tasksParticipate in other lab improvement projects as neededMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Education or Experience (in years):-- - High School diploma or equivalent education and experience; Bachelors preferred, understanding of laboratories equipment.2+ years of related work experience in an FDA/ISO regulated manufacturing facility, public health laboratory or similar institutionKnowledge and Familiarity with working in Biosafety Level 1 (BSL1) laboratoriesFamiliarities with working in Class A laboratories.Qualifications:-- - Basic computer skillsHands -on and fluent with basic lab equipmentKnowledge of Biosafety Level 2Passion for continuous process in the labsMechanical aptitude and familiarity with sterilizing/cleaning equipment is required.Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of professional personnel and strong team playerAbility to follow oral and written proceduresOrganized and capable of working independently under minimal supervisionMust be a self-starter with strong focus on quality, attention to detail and delivering resultsPhysical requirements/abilities:-- - Ability to work in an office environment.
