registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years RN experience
required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not
be considered. A Registered Nurse with operating room expertise is
needed to provide comprehensive perioperative care in a
high-quality surgical environment. This position requires a
dedicated RN to deliver both direct and indirect patient care
across multiple age groups, effectively coordinating with the
surgical team, and maintaining safety and quality standards
throughout all phases of the surgical experience. Location: Newark,
NJ offers a vibrant urban setting with diverse cultural
experiences, bustling city life, and access to leading healthcare
institutions. The area provides excellent public transportation
options and numerous dining, entertainment, and recreational
activities. Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM
to 3:00 PM On-call responsibility: minimum one weekday night call
per week (11 PM 7 AM), up to two calls weekly Weekend call rotation
every 5th weekend (24-hour coverage Saturday and Sunday) Call
response required within 30 minutes, taken remotely via personal
cell phone Qualifications: Current and valid state RN license
Current BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintained thereafter
ACLS (AHA) certification within 30 days of hire and maintained
thereafter PALS (AHA) certification within 30 days of hire and
maintained thereafter Minimum of one year perioperative nursing
experience or equivalent on-the-job training Certified Nurse OR
(CNOR) certification preferred Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
preferred Experience with preoperative and postoperative nursing
care Responsibilities: Deliver safe, compassionate, and skilled
nursing care during all perioperative phases Collaborate closely
with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR personnel to coordinate
patient care Guide and support OR technicians and other staff
according to standards of professional nursing practice Ensure
compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies
Participate actively in performance improvement initiatives, unit
meetings, and educational in-services Serve as a clinical resource
and mentor for peers This contract opportunity is ideal for RNs
