Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Radiology Technician - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 01/19/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, evenings - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking an X-Ray Technician with at least 1 year of experience and current ARRT and NJ State RT licensure for a hospital-based role. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Hospital-based radiology department - Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with every other weekend and call coverage required - Patient populations typically include adults and geriatrics - Duties involve operating a variety of imaging equipment and performing diagnostic x-ray procedures - EMR system used is Epic - Travelers may float to a nearby sister hospital - Perform imaging and treatment processes in accordance with state, federal, and professional guidelines - Maintain equipment, monitor and revise procedures as needed, and ensure patient safety and comfort - May be required to float to sister facility as needed - Every other weekend and call coverage is required - Assignments can last up to one year; candidates must take a 30-60 day break before any new assignment at the facility /n /n Requirements/n - Graduate of an accredited radiography school - Active NJ State Radiologic Technologist License (license required if applicable) - ARRT certification required - BLS certification required - 1-3 years of experience as an X-Ray Technician - Proficiency in using, setting up, troubleshooting, and maintaining imaging equipment - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills - Must live at least 50 miles from facility; local candidates are not accepted /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-651899.
