Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/20/2026 - Duration: 7 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours - Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU/MST Location: Cape ay Courthouse, NJ Department: PCU/MST Shift: Nights, Every Other Week (EOW) Hours: 36 hours per week Job Summary: We are urgently seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our PCU/MST team at facility. This role focuses on providing intermediate-level care in the PCU and MST units, monitoring patients with complex conditions, and ensuring timely interventions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telemetry and progressive care, with a dedication to patient safety and multidisciplinary collaboration. Key Responsibilities - Monitor and assess patients in PCU/MST, including those requiring telemetry and intermediate care. - Administer medications, manage IVs, and perform nursing interventions as per protocols. - Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans. - Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge planning. - Maintain accurate electronic health records and ensure compliance with hospital standards. - Respond to changes in patient conditions promptly and escalate as needed. Qualifications and Requirements - Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN preferred). - Experience: Minimum of 3 years of recent MST/PCU RN experience required. Demonstrated expertise in telemetry monitoring and progressive care is essential. - Licenses and Certifications: - Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse). - Current American Heart Association BLS Certification. - Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) from the American Heart Association. - NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification. - Skills: Proficiency in telemetry equipment, critical thinking, and effective communication. Experience with EHR systems is advantageous. - Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, assist with patient transfers, and handle emergency situations.
