Job Description Job Description Flexible LPN Position - Per Diem/PRN - St. Louis Area This role is for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who will work on a flexible, per diem basis across various hospital locations in the St. Louis region. The position entails delivering patient care under supervision in departments such as Behavioral Health, Emergency, ICU, and Medical-Surgical. Candidates must possess the necessary licensure and certifications. Utilizes the nursing process to deliver patient care under the oversight of licensed professionals authorized to prescribe medications and treatments, or under the guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN). Maintains accountability for the care provided to assigned patients and collaborates with other departments to coordinate patient care. Upholds patient rights and ensures the confidentiality of patient information. Position Overview: Location: St. Louis Area Hospitals Department: Flexible Nursing Status: PRN/Per Diem/Flexible Shift: Various Shifts Available JoinOurTeam Incentives: $30/hour Variable Shift Incentives W-2 Employee Status Minimum of 12 hours every 90 days Maximum of 30 hours per week (Sunday to Saturday) Options for 4, 8, or 12-hour shifts Incentives for Variable Shifts Work When and Where You Prefer! Position Summary: Are you looking for a flexible LPN role with incentives? You can choose between day or night shifts based on your preference! There are no mandatory weekend, holiday, or shift requirements. Participation in this flexible nursing program entails being responsible for scheduling a minimum number of hours, being available on short notice, and being adaptable to last-minute shift cancellations. Please note that this program does not guarantee shift hours and will be prioritized for cancellations. The LPN in this role will float among selected hospital facilities. Departments Seeking GIG LPNs: Behavioral Health Emergency Department Intensive Care Unit Medical-Surgical Facilities/Locations: St. Louis Hospital - St. Louis, MO Jefferson Hospital - Festus, MO South Hospital - South St. Louis County, MO Washington Hospital - Washington, MO Lincoln Hospital - Troy, MO Perry Hospital - Perryville, MO Southeast Hospital - Cape Girardeau, MO Stoddard Hospital - Dexter, MO Qualifications: Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent GED. Licensure: Must be a graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; equivalent educational experience may be considered. Candidates are responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current LPN license in the state where they will perform nursing duties, adhering to all State Board of Nursing requirements. Experience: At least one year of recent bedside LPN experience is required for Medical-Surgical roles. For other specialties (ED, ICU, etc.), a minimum of two years of recent bedside LPN experience is necessary. Certifications: For Medical-Surgical: BLS certification required. For Critical Care: BLS and ACLS certifications required. For Emergency Department: BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required. IV certification is mandatory. Preferred Experience: Experience with Epic software is a plus. Physical Requirements: This position requires the ability to regularly push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 pounds. Prolonged standing and walking are necessary during each shift. Must be capable of gripping, reaching, bending, kneeling, twisting, and squatting to fulfill job responsibilities. Why Join Us?
