In this role, you will apply the nursing process to deliver patient care under the guidance of licensed professionals authorized by state regulations to prescribe treatments and medications, or under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). You will maintain accountability for the care provided to your assigned patients and collaborate with various departments to ensure comprehensive patient care. Position Overview: LPN Sign-On Bonus: $2,000 Neuro LPN 36 Hours Per Week, Day Shift Location: Mercy Hospital Jefferson Festus, MO 63028 About the Neuro/Pulmonary Stroke Unit: Our unit frequently manages patients with pulmonary conditions such as COPD, respiratory failure, asthma, and pneumonia. These individuals may require high-flow oxygen, BiPAP, tracheostomies, or chest tubes, necessitating thorough assessments, proactive therapies, and constant nursing oversight. We collaborate closely with the Stroke Coordinator to provide care for patients experiencing Acute Stroke and TIA. Occasionally, we utilize tele-neuro services. Neuro patients need regular evaluations to detect any subtle changes in their condition, and we offer stroke education as part of their care. Qualifications: Educational Requirement: Practical Nursing Degree from an accredited institution Licensure: Current LPN license in the state or the ability to obtain it within 90 days Certifications: Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association; IV Certification to be completed within one year Why Choose Us?
