CCU Clinical Lead Step into a Clinical Lead role in Critical Care at SAGE San Francisco. This full?time CCU position offers $37–$50/hr plus a $9,000 sign?on bonus, a consistent Sunday–Wednesday schedule, and the opportunity to lead ICU patient care in a high?acuity specialty hospital. SAGE Veterinary Centers – San Francisco, part of ETHOS Veterinary Health, is hiring a CCU Clinical Lead to support our Critical Care Unit. This leadership role is ideal for an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or Senior Veterinary Assistant ready to combine advanced clinical care with team mentorship in a high?acuity environment. Our San Francisco hospital is a nationally recognized specialty and emergency veterinary center where collaboration, education, and patient safety are at the core of everything we do. About the Role As the CCU Clinical Lead, you will provide hands?on clinical support for critically ill and hospitalized patients while leading and developing a team of RVTs and Veterinary Assistants. You’ll work closely with board?certified Criticalists, emergency doctors, and hospital leadership to ensure excellent patient outcomes and smooth daily operations. Key Responsibilities - Lead and support RVTs and Veterinary Assistants within the Critical Care Unit - Maintain high standards of patient care and safety for critical and ICU patients - Provide hands?on training, mentorship, and clinical development for CCU staff - Assist with advanced case management, including triage, ventilator support, anesthesia monitoring, and intensive care protocols - Partner with doctors and leadership to support workflow, staffing, and hospital goals - Support emergency case flow and client communication for critical patients Qualifications Required: - 5 years of recent veterinary clinical experience - Emergency and/or critical care experience strongly preferred Preferred: - Active California Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license - Demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience - Strong skills in medication calculations, anesthesia monitoring, triage, and ICU care - Excellent communication, organization, and problem?solving skills Compensation & Benefits - $37–$50/hour, based on experience - $9,000 Sign?On Bonus - Monthly RACE?approved continuing education and development opportunities - RVT license application and renewal reimbursement Full?Time Benefits Include: - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance - Flexible spending accounts - 401(k) with employer match - Accrued paid vacation and sick time - Uniform reimbursement - Employee Assistance Program (EAP) If you’re ready to make a meaningful impact in veterinary critical care and grow into a leadership role, apply today to join SAGE Veterinary Centers – San Francisco.
