Job Description:
Join Performance Foodservice, a leader in food distribution, as
a CDL A Driver and become an essential part of our supply chain,
ensuring timely delivery of food products to our diverse range of
clients across the nation. As a CDL A Driver, you will operate
heavy trucks and are responsible for the safe and efficient
delivery of food and food-related products to our national network
of customers—from small family operations to large national chains.
You will play a key role in maintaining our reputation for punctual
and reliable deliveries, contributing directly to our customer
satisfaction and loyalty. Safely operate a heavy or tractor-trailer
truck. Load and unload cargo, ensuring safety and integrity of
goods. Deliver orders to customers on assigned routes in a timely
manner. Maintain logs of travel and cargo according to federal and
state regulations. Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety
issues and perform preventative maintenance. Plan routes and meet
delivery schedules. Comply with truck driving rules and regulations
(size, weight, route designations, parking, break periods) as well
as with company policies and procedures. Proven work experience as
a truck driver. Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and
software (GPS, AVL units, CB, etc). Ability to drive long hours and
travel regularly. Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving
rules and regulations. Adaptability and foresight to handle
unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc). Strong
time management and customer service skills. Medical Insurance

Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required. Must have a
clean driving record. DOT medical card. Doubles/Triples endorsement
a plus.
