We are currently seeking a Software Defect Manager to join our Software Quality and Validation Engineering team. Our i deal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with determination. You will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast -paced environment.

• The Role:
• Ensure that the information provided in defects is complete, up-to-date, and follows the defect management process
• Work with development and program managers to ensure that defects have clear ownership and that the next steps are clearly defined
• Participate in the Bug Review board meetings
• Coordinate with development teams to build a roadmap for defect resolution
• Develop weekly defect status reports and trending report
• Identify and implement process & tool improvements to improve defect resolution times
• Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience managing defects and ensuring issues are assigned the right severity
• Experience with software development lifecycle and methodologies, such as Agile
• Experience with software defect and configuration management tools, such as Jira, GIT, IBM rational, etc.
• Experience with project management tools
• Ability to build a strong relationship with internal customers, influencing and persuading where appropriate and resolving any conflicts
• Ability to explain the lifecycle processes and articulate knowledge of Defect Management to a wide audience
• Education:
• Bachelors in an Engineering field, Masters preferred
