Job Description:

Position Summary

The Lab Coordinator role requires strong communication and laboratory organizational skill to support a variety of R&D work. In this position, the incumbent is responsible for managing lab and project folder for the team, buffer preparation, managing lab and office consumables, oversee different lab equipment and service contracts.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Manage lab inventory including chemicals, antibodies, substrate and proteins to ensure all the lab members can easily access to available resources
  • Be responsible for ordering, receiving of office and lab consumables and some shipment for the team
  • Oversee the maintenance of laboratory equipment and pipette calibration
  • Manage team share folder for any ongoing inhouse and collaboration projects, by maintaining the project lists and reminding the owners to update the projects as needed
  • Oversee administrative work which includes inventory, shipment, PO, invoice and legal document management
  • Work closely with different departments including but not limited to purchasing, legal, facility, account payable, and finance to support the team for purchasing and contracts
  • Work closely with different vendors for outside lab service
  • Be responsible for small and large-scale buffer preparation as team requested and clean lab dirty glassware as needed

Education

Minimum Required:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent education/experience

Preferred:

  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree preferred

Experience

Minimum Required:

  • 1-2 years lab management/ inventory experience
  • 1-2 years administrative experiences

Preferred:

  • Experience in biotech, pharmaceutical industry or other related fields
  • Experience with working in the lab and buffer preparation
  • Project management experience is preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Minimum Required:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Great communication skill and able to work well with own and different teams
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and follow instructions accurately
  • Detail-oriented, excellent organizational skill and attention to good detail
  • Ability to learn fast under fast-paced, multi-tasking environment and quickly adopt to changes

Preferred:

  • Basic understanding of pharmaceutical research lab consumables, and instruments
  • Basic knowledge in chemical safety is preferred.
