If you are driven to create a better, more sustainable future, then this is the right place for you.We are currently seeking a Systems Engineer, Vehicle Integration. - In this role you will be responsible for ensuring product functions are successfully achieved by integrated subsystems as they interact in the context of the whole vehicle. By working with design engineers to solve a variety of issues within Vehicle Engineering, you will drive optimal resolution of engineering issues from overall concept development through manufacturing.Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.The Role:Responsible for one or more functional areas of the vehicleWork with the cross-discipline development and design engineers throughout the engineering organization to ensure the relevant subsystems are designed with appropriate requirements, interfaces and interactions to achieve specific vehicle functionsPerform high-level concept development to meet system and vehicle requirementsProvide leadership to engineering team(s) to establish the architecture and prescribe the function of intertwined systemsSupport CAD and user studies for vehicle variants and platform studiesFollowing the system functions from requirements to validation all the way through to implementation to ensure that customer expectations are fully metReport and track issues with software and/or hardware releasesQualifications:BS or MS Degree in Mechanical Engineering3+ years of experience in systems design, architecture, integration, or related fieldPreference given to candidates with 3-5 years of Engineering experience with an automotive OEM or supplier and working knowledge of automotive interior, exterior, chassis, and mechanical packagingUnderstanding of hardware and software development processesDemonstrated ability to handle multiple competing work assignments from engineering, studio, and manufacturingCAD experience (CATIA preferred), and demonstrated ability in developing and designing product solutionsConversant with current and forthcoming vehicle architectures and system technologiesPassion for electric vehicles and energy efficiencyMotivation, flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment with tight timing constraintsProven problem solving and communication skills, excellent numeracy and spatial awarenessDesire a candidate who is assertive, self-motivated, demonstrates ownership of issues, and can work with minimal directionCreative capacity for developing new ways to integrate complex systems better and fasterAbility to travel (up to 15% domestic travel may be required)At Lucid, we don't just welcome diversity - we celebrate it!
