We are currently seeking a Senior Hard Modeler to join our Fabrication Team. Contract role for 3-6 months with the potential to move into full-time. The RoleBuild Show Cars, Interior Hard Models, and other prototypes and bucks Building A and B surfaces Grading composites Fitting panels to body frames Flush and gap of all panels Fastener building Light surfacing Aligning w/CMM (XYZ) Creating brushed and polished finishes on various materials Troubleshooting engineering and fabrication challenges Working with painters, CMF designers, Car Designers, Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, Body systems Engineers in a collaborative working environment Working with various materials such as Composites, Wood, Metals, Foams Design and build armatures QualificationsExpertise in working with all types of materials. (Wood, plastics, metals, 3D printing, mold making, composites, etc.) Great communication skills and ability to collaborate with all teams within the company Proficiency in table saw, lathe, band saw, and manual mill operation Proficiency in all types of hand tool operation Have an extreme level of craftsmanship A positive "can do" attitude A flexible schedule and willingness to work flexible hours to coincide with Design Team milestones and deadlines AdvantageousKnowledge of show car builds CNC programming, powermill, etc CAD skills a plus Automotive Background a plus 6-10 years of experience within a shop environment Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.---California (Bay Area) - $29 - 40 per yearAdditional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid's equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.
