Adecco Medical & Science is assisting a top client in the healthcare industry in recruiting for a **Patient Registration Outreach Representative** in Newark, CA. This position is a full-time contract opportunity, lasting 3-6 months, with the possibility to be extended or converted.
**Pay Range:** $27- $29 BOE
Job Summary: Reporting directly to the PROR Asst Manager, the PROR will perform patient registration and access activities in accordance with established Hospital and department regulations, policies and procedures.
**Essential Functions include but are not limited to the following:**
+ Meets weekly individual productivity goals and standards while following planned priorities as set by the Team Manager/Coordinator.
+ Maintains professional communication with various PROR staff, medical center staff, physicians, and patients regarding the access services rendered at the Medical Center.
+ Communication may consist of telephone, correspondence, or in person contact.
+ Provides excellent customer service to all individuals with whom the employee has contact. **Qualifications:**
+ High School Diploma or Equivalent, prefer AA degree 1+ year of experience working in healthcare (i.e. patient admitting,/registration, patient accounting, medical records, physician's office), or completion of a medical billing trade school certificate, or 2+ years experience working in customer service within a healthcare or non-healthcare industry (hospitality, public relations, banking, reservationists, etc.)
+ Basic PC Skills (Windows, Excel, and Word), Good Communication, Customer Service and Interpersonal Skills Ability to problem solve, set priorities and recommend changes in work processes, Basic medical terminology knowledge, and Provide articulate and concise oral communication, able to read and write clearly and concisely in English.
