Principal/Senior Scientist Ab Discovery and DevelopmentPosition
Summary:The Principal / Senior Scientist will support preclinical
projects related to antibody discovery and development, performing
antibody design, engineering, production, and
biochemical/biophysical characterization.Requirements:Minimum
Education/Experience:
- PhD in Molecular Biology, Immunology, or a related field with
4-8 years post-PhD industry experience.
- Background in molecular biology, immunology, and/or oncology
with experience in antibody drug discovery, development, and/or
engineering for immunotherapeutics.
- Expertise in protein/antibody purification platforms supporting
discovery, optimization, and biologics development.
- Strong research record with contributions to publications.
- Project and CRO management experience is highly
desirable.Qualifications:Other Qualifications:
- Experience in designing and evaluating biotherapeutics from
discovery to lead optimization.
- Technical expertise in characterizing engineered proteins
through biophysical and in vitro cell-based assays.
- Highly organized, interpersonal, and capable of working in a
fast-paced, collaborative environment with multitasking
skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all
levels and coach junior team members.
- Motivated with a proactive, startup mentality.Company
Description:Gritstone has emerged from bankruptcy and is now
focused on developing bi-specifics and tri-specifics for cancer
treatment. The company has a small internal research team and
collaborates with outside research organizations. Managing external
collaborations and interfacing with patent counsel are critical
skills.
