We are currently seeking an electrical test engineer (all level). The level will depends on the candidate's experience. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.
The Role:

  • Collaborate with Power Electronic design engineers to develop standardized functional, validation and characterization test procedures for HV components
  • Be able to evaluate, validate and troubleshoot power components: IGBTs, MOSFETs and gate drive circuits, high power capacitors, chokes/inductors, transformers etc.
  • Work with automation team to implement fully automated test plan
  • Operate HV test benches and perform test in accordance with test plan.
  • Process testing data, confirm accuracy of results and prepare detailed reports
  • Collaborate with engineers across the powertrain organization to develop and share HV component testing methodologies and reporting template.
  • Support component and vehicle level integrations from prototype to production
  • Work with design engineer to troubleshoot issues.
  • Direct lab technicians on HV bench/cell setup, instrumentation, data collection requirements and execution
  • Work closely with suppliers and test labs to plan and track the test progressQualifications:
    • BS in the areas of electrical engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
    • 2+ years of experience electrical/embedded design and testingPreferred:
      • Experienced in automotive testing standards
      • 2+ years of experience working in a HV laboratory testing environment
      • Experience related to testing inverter/charger design verification testing, thermal testing, durability testing and test automation
      • Experience in DFM, production and EOL testing
      • Experience in EMI/EMC test and standards
      • Experienced using test automation and data analysis software (e.g. LabVIEW, python, MATLAB, Canape etc.)
      • Understanding of HV power electronic components (active and passive) and experience developing associated characterization/validation testing methods
      • Knowledge of high power/high voltage inverter design topologies
      • Familiarity with HV safety training/standards
      • Knowledge of Microcontroller operation and interface - Ethernet based communications
      • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to understand sophisticated test setups and manage multiple tasks
      • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, self-motivated, eager to take ownership and deliver results with minimal direction
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
